There is a certain kind of magic that happens when a couple’s vision perfectly aligns with the soul of a destination. For Kallyn and Parker Thomas, that magic didn’t start with a site visit or a tasting, it started with a digital spark and a shared intuition.
While scrolling through Instagram one evening, Kallyn stopped on a photo of a venue that felt like it belonged in a dream. Despite being thousands of miles away in Salt Lake City, the decision was instantaneous. The couple booked a virtual tour of Baja Luna in Cabo San Lucas the very next day and secured their date before ever stepping foot on the property. It was a leap of faith that set the tone for a wedding defined by intention, elegance, and an organic connection to the landscape of Los Cabos.
On November 10th, 2025, that intuition became a reality. Surrounded by 60 of their closest family and friends, Kallyn and Parker celebrated a union that was in every sense of the words – intimate, romantic, and beautifully organic.
A Love Story for the Books
The couple’s journey is the kind usually reserved for the silver screen. They met during their freshman year of college in a leadership class while both were collegiate athletes – Kallyn on the soccer field and Parker on the baseball diamond. What began as a friendship between two driven athletes blossomed into a deep, life-changing connection over the next four years.

Parker eventually proposed on a private beach in Florida, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of an 18-month planning journey. For Kallyn, Parker has always been the real-life Prince Charming she dreamed of as a young girl, and their wedding day was designed to reflect that fairytale quality in a modern, grounded way.
The Vision: Timeless, Elegant, and Earthy
The aesthetic for the day was a sophisticated nod to the Cabo environment. Kallyn and Parker curated a palette of neutrals and gold accents, anchored by rich espresso brown tones. The bridesmaids wore deep chocolate hues that popped beautifully against the desert greenery, while the groomsmen maintained a refined, classic look in black tuxedos.
To ensure the entire event felt cohesive, the couple invited their guests to join the “mood board” by wearing earthy tones like deep greens and blues. Under the glow of countless candles and the natural warmth of gold decor, the reception space at Baja Luna transformed into a timeless sanctuary that felt both high-end and deeply connected to the earth.
A Ceremony Written in the Moon
The ceremony took place in the iconic chapel at Baja Luna, a space known for its striking modern architecture that symbolizes the phases of the moon. It was the centerpiece of the couple’s venue choice and provided a sacred backdrop for their vows.

In a move that preserved the tradition and high-stakes emotion of the day, Kallyn and Parker chose to forgo a “First Look.” The very first time Parker saw Kallyn was when the chapel doors opened and she began her walk down the aisle. The raw emotion on Parker’s face in that moment was a highlight of the day, a silent testament to a decade of shared history and the “butterflies” that never truly went away.
Honoring a Hero: A Mother’s Strength
Perhaps the most poignant thread of the day was the celebration of Kallyn’s mother. Diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer six years ago, her mother has fought with legendary strength, and she was an integral part of every planning detail.

Kallyn found intentional, beautiful ways to weave their bond into the ceremony and reception. Her mother served as the ring bearer, and instead of a traditional bouquet toss, Kallyn chose to dedicate her bouquet entirely to her mother. Later in the evening, the two shared a surprise mother-daughter dance to their favorite Mamma Mia song. These moments served as a powerful tribute to a mother who didn’t just witness the wedding but helped build it from the ground up.
The “Baja Blast” and a Legendary Party
While the ceremony was filled with sacred traditions, the reception was a masterclass in personality. Since Taco Bell is a favorite tradition for the couple, they decided to put a playful spin on a wedding classic: a Baja Blast tower. Replacing the traditional champagne with the signature teal soda brought a fun, lighthearted energy to the night that guests embraced immediately.

The celebration that followed was nothing short of legendary. With DJ Mijares providing the soundtrack, the dance floor stayed packed for three straight hours. The atmosphere became so electric that even the planning team and Baja Luna staff joined the guests in the celebration, turning the mango farm into the ultimate Baja dance party.
From Viral TikToks to “Lost at Sea”
Kallyn’s path to the altar was uniquely modern. After a video of her wedding dress shopping went unexpectedly viral (reaching over 11 million views) she began documenting her journey for a global audience of brides. Her TikTok community followed along as she navigated the nuances of planning a destination wedding, turning her personal experience into a source of inspiration for others.
Of course, even the most carefully planned weddings have their “only in Cabo” stories. The day before the wedding, Parker lost his wedding ring in the ocean. Rather than letting it dampen the mood, the couple took it as a sign from the sea. Parker used a borrowed ring for the ceremony, and on their honeymoon, he received a new band engraved with a wave, a permanent tribute to the original ring he “gave back” to the Pacific.
Reflections on a Cabo Dream
Looking back on the eighteen months of preparation, the couple attributes the success of the weekend to starting early and focusing on the guest experience. From the intimate rehearsal dinner and s’mores on the beach to the hand-written personal notes placed at every dinner setting, Kallyn and Parker ensured that every one of their 60 guests felt the weight of their gratitude.

For this Utah couple, getting married in Los Cabos wasn’t just about a beautiful location; it was about creating a core memory that felt as timeless as the desert and as deep as the ocean.
